I have an existing website. Why should I update it?

At this stage most businesses do have a web site. However, the most successful web sites have gone through multiple version upgrades before they get it right.

A majority of all web sites fall into the following category: The web site was typically built some time ago, often in response to the thought that every company should have a web site. Some looked very fashionable and expensive whilst others quite frankly looked poor and cheap. Characteristically these web sites often look like electronic company brochures.

The problem with these websites is that they give the impression of being inwardly focused and built in isolation. Typically they don't invite customers to interact with them. Most are also disconnected from the marketing and branding activities of the company and many have obviously not been updated recently

"The major upgrade to many company's web sites occurred when the company realized that the current web site design was offering little or no value and was receiving few visitors."

Further versions of successful web sites have been based on the principle of educating the client about what they do. Helping customers find out more about related topics and interests, increases the number of customer visits significantly and helps grow better customer contact and relations. Most of the successful companies have a strategy that their web site will be their main channel for bringing revenue into their company, ahead of their sales force and call centers. Such a company is additionally focusing on easy to use and frequently changing attractive offers and broadening product and services portfolios.

The following should be your goal for your web site:

"Our web site is a place to show customers and prospects relevant examples of what we do and entice them to do business with us. Customers should find it current and interesting while reflecting our brand and supporting our marketing plan."

JWCS can help you to critically assess not alone your web site design but your entire web strategy and put together a strategy for ensuring that it is as professional as it can be, that it educates and persuades your customers, that it attracts large numbers of visitors and is constantly updated and current. In addition we can offer the kind of interactivity that your customer demands coupled with ease of use and clear content and navigation.
